Like the moon shining above us at night, translucent Selenite, aptly named by Ancient Greeks after the moon itself, represents spiritual purity and Divine white light. The Greeks were said to have created windows made of Selenite to allow them to harness light and brighten dark rooms and in ancient Mesopotamia selenite was found in sick rooms for the purpose of keeping evil spirits at bay.
