"Gifts That Give Back" on the Sunny Side

April 02, 2015

With much joy we are so happy to announce our upcoming collaborations with nonprofit organizations in Sunnyside "Gifts That Give Back" fundraising programs. We honor sunshine found within each and every person, cherish the gift of life’s unique journeys, and are committed to spreading joy through giving back in the community and beyond. "Gifts That Give Back" fundraisers are one way that we are fulfilling our mission.

Over the last few years, Shannon has handcrafted 1000's of jewelry items for nonprofit organizations and educational initiatives for give-aways or for the organization to sell in their fundraisers. With the launch of Sunnyside Gift Company online, we now have the capability to give back within the community and beyond in a larger way. It is important for us to do what we can to support the important work that nonprofit organizations do each and every day, and we are honored to collaborate with them in our "Gifts That Give Back" fundraisers.

The fundraiser process is simple and takes place in 3 steps:

  • Planning: We work with the nonprofit organization to determine key dates for the fundraiser(s), locations (online and/or on-site) and other important details.
  • Fundraiser!
  • Wrap-up: Fund-raised amount is sent to nonprofit organization.

The framework is similar to other partnerships between nonprofits and retailers in that a percentage of the sales is directly given to the nonprofit organization and in the "Gifts That Give Back" fundraisers, Sunnyside Gifts is committed to giving back up to 20% of sales during the fundraiser period.

Please feel free to forward and share this announcement to the nonprofit and charity organizations that you support and are affiliated with, we are proud to partner with organizations that believe in the sunny side of life along with us.

And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do."
