Sunnyside Celebrates National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day!

Did you know that today is National Mom & Pop Business Owners Day? It is said to have originated when a son named Rick Segal decided to honor his own “mom and pop”—his parents, who opened a small hat shop in Massachusetts on March 29, 1939. Over the years, the shop expanded into a major women’s apparel store, encompassing 10,000 square feet and earning $2 million a year in revenue.
Sunnyside Gifts is proud to be a Mom & Pop Shop, founded in 2015 by wife and husband team, Shannon and Dave.
Starting from Shannon's jewelry designs and crafts sold at small local craft fairs, Sunnyside quickly expanded with a website and then grew to popping up at larger local fairs and festivals and events. In September 2018 we opened the doors to our brick & mortar store in our local hometown of Hillsborough, New Jersey. We are honored to be a part of the Hillsborough local community and continue to bring positivity, good vibes, and a reason to smile locally and across the world.
