Rather than azo dyes, formaldehyde and hazardous substances, eco-leather is created with materials derived from sustainable tea bark extracts and waxes. Used in ancient times in India, this “vegetable tanning” process has has been revived by our fair trade partner CRC Exports, who, as a fair trader, insists on business practices that are safe for makers and the environment.
